Viimeisen päivän kahvittelu / The last day cafe

 

Vielä yhden kerran ehdin istua vesitornin kahvilassa. On niin kuuma, ettei mitään jaksa tehdä (29 °C).

Illalla kävin kotona Espoossa ja vein tavaraa pois (5 Ikea-kassia).. Siellä on paljon tehtävää, ennen kuin voi asua. Onneksi saan asua vielä Riihimäellä, josta ajelen edestakaisin kotiin ja takaisin.

One more time I had time to sit in the water tower cafe. It's so hot that I can't do anything (29 °C).

In the evening I visited home in Espoo and carried off stuff (5 Ikea bags). There is a lot to do before you can live there. Fortunately, I can still live in Riihimäki, from where I drive back and forth home and back.

Tätä todella opin täällä.

This is what I really learned here.

Kino Sampo on yksi vanhimmista käytössä olevista elokuvateattereista. Toiminta alkoi marraskuussa 1917. Nyt tässä toimii myös Nuorisoteatteri.

Kino Sampo is one of the oldest cinemas in use. The operation started in November 1917. 

Now the Youth Theater also operates here.

Vanha sähkölaitos. Ei enää toiminnassa, mutta rakennus on suojeltu.

Old electrical plant. No longer in operation, but the building is listed.

Todella erikoiset moottoripyörät parkkeerasivat autoni eteen. Toinen veti perässään matkailuvaunua ja toinen vetolaatikkoa tms. Kuskeina oli nainen ja mies, kummallakin oma pyörä.

Very special motorcycles parked in front of my car. One was pulling a small caravan and the other a tow box, etc. The drivers were a woman and a man, each with their own bike.

Pulu istui ikkunani edessä olevassa koivussa keväällä.

Pigeon sat in the birch in front of my window in the spring.

Lämpöä on 27-28 °C, n. 10 °C enemmän kuin normaalina ajanjaksona. Huh hellettä.

Pitäisi käyttää hyödyksi nämä loppupäivät, mutta ulkona on liian kuuma.

Poismuutto onkin jo aikaisemmin, eli jo perjantaina 31.5. klo 16.00 pääsen sisälle kotiini. 

Tämän jälkeen ajelenkin sitten edestakaisin Espoon ja Riksun väliä siivoillen ym, kun ei ole kiire viedä heti kaikkia tavaroita pois.

The temperature is 27-28 °C, ab. 10 °C more than in a normal period. Huh hot.

I should make the most of these last few days, but it's too hot outside.

The move out is already earlier, that is, already on Friday 31.5. at 16:00 I can get inside my home.

After that, I drive back and forth between Espoo and Riihimäki, cleaning etc., when I'm not in a hurry to take all the stuff away right away.

Vettä näkyvissä / Water in sight

 

Joskus ajomatkalla näkee pieniä järviä tai lampia. Ja niinpä pysäytän auton ja menen kiertelemään.

Sometimes you will see small lakes or ponds on the drive. And so I stop the car and go for a walk.

Enää viisi päivää ja sitten Espooseen. Olen alkanut pikkuhiljaa pakkaamaan.

Five more days and then I'll be moving back to Espoo. I have started to pack little by little.

Maantietä pitkin / By road

Ajelen paljon ympäriinsä. Useimmiten matka on n. 20 km suuntaansa, joten kaikki, mitä haluan nähdä, on lähellä. Ja matkat ovat keskellä maaseutua, jota jatkuu ja jatkuu, ennen kuin kohde tulee vastaan. Minusta maaseututiet on ihania, ne on mutkikkaita ja tien varrella on erivärisiä peltoja, kuin myös kaikenlaisia isoja rakennelmia. Nyt on voikukka-aika ja niitä näkyy joka puolella. 

I drive around a lot. Most of the time, the journey is about 20 km each way, so everything I want to see is close by. And the trips are in the middle of the countryside, which goes on and on until the destination is met. I think the country roads are wonderful, they are winding and there are fields of different colors along the road, as well as all kinds of buildnings. Now is dandelion season and you can see them everywhere.

Here, the road goes through the forest less often, but sometimes it does.

Hekin ovat kävelemässä helteisessä päivässä.

They are walking on a hot day too.

Kevyen liikenteen väylä, jossa jalankulkijat ja pyöräilijät liikkuu sulassa sovussa.

A light-traffic thoroughfare where pedestrians and cyclists move in perfect harmony.

Keskustan ympärillä on monia omakotialueita. Niissä on kiva kävellä ja katsella taloja ja pihoja.

There are many single-family areas around the center. 

It's nice to walk in them and look at the houses and yards.

Ja tietenkin keltaisia taloja.

And of course yellow houses.

Pitäähän yksi sininen talo olla joukossa.

There must be one blue house in the group.

Siellähän se keskusta pilkottaa.

You can see the center further away.

Enää kahdeksan päivää täällä.  Lievä paniikki tulee, sillä en haluaisi lähteä pois.

I'm here for eight more days. I'm having a slight panic because I wouldn't want to leave.

Vanha, ihana talo keskellä kivitaloja. Tässä on Juomahuone Laitinen, joka on talvisin kiinni.

An old, lovely house in the middle of stone houses. Here is a bar "drinking room", which is closed in winter.

Olen huomannut, että keltainen väri puutaloissa on hallitseva väri.

I have noticed that yellow is the dominant color in wooden houses.

Nyt kukkii koristeomena ja koristekirsikka. Jokapuolella näkyy ihanat värit.

Ornamental apple and ornamental cherry are blooming now. They look wonderful everywhere.
