Katupölyä ja kukkia / Street dust and flowers

Hiekanharjausta. Suurin osa kaduista on jo harjattu, mutta aina silloin tällöin vastaan tulee harja-auto.

Sand brushing. Most of the streets has already been brushed, but every now and then a brush car comes in front of you.

Ennen. Hiekkaa tiellä / Before. Sand on the street.

Jälkeen. On niin paljon kivempi kävellä, kun hiekka ei narsku kengän alla.

After. It’s so much nicer to walk when the sand doesn’t crackle under the shoe.

Jo vihertää. Kevät tulee, vaikka hidasta on ollut.

Already greening. Spring arrives, albeit slowly.

Kukkiakin näkyy. Valkovuokkoja on tosi paljon. 

You can also see flowers. There are a lot of white anemones. 

Yhden kirsikkapuun näin kukkivan eräällä pihalla. Muut puut vielä odottaa.

I saw a single cherry tree blooming in a some yard. Other trees are still waiting.

Lumipyryn jälkeen / After snowing

Viime yönä satoi rutkasti lunta, ja tietenkin, kun oikeasta suunnasta tuulee, 

pääsee lumi ritilän läpi autohalliin, ja minun Micra on valmiiksi luminen.

Last night it rained plenty of snow, and of course, when the wind is blowing from the right direction,

snow come through the grate in the garage, and my Micra is already snowy.

Kehä I. Ja rapa roiskuu, kun lämpötila on +1 °C. Ei pidä ihmettelemän, miksi autot on niin likaisia. 

Eihän sitä voi joka päivä pesettää.

Slush splashes because it is +1 °C. You should not wonder why our cars are so dirty.

you cannot wash it every day.

Vähän enemmän lunta, kun mennään pois valtatieltä.

When you go off the highway, there is a little more snow.
