Kärpässieniä / Fly agarics

 

Kauniita sieniä, mutta ei kannata syödä.

Beautiful mushrooms, but not worth eating (the fly agaric is poisonous).

Mitä löysin metsässä / What I found in the forest

 

Eilisellä retkellä löysin tietenkin sieniä. En syö sieniä, mutta kärpässienen toki tunnen, sitä ei saa syödä. Mutta sienet oli jo vanhoja enkä edes tiedä, joskos noi muut oli edes syötäviä. 

Ihmiset kerää aivan toisenlaisia syötäviä sieniä.

Of course, I found mushrooms on yesterday's hike. I don't eat mushrooms, but I know the fly agaric, you can't eat it. But these mushrooms were already old and I don't know if those others were even edible. People collect completely different kinds of edible mushrooms.

Täällä ei ollut polkuja, eikä risukossa ollut kiva kävellä.

Löysimme puolukoita. Harmi vaan ettei ollut astiaa mukana, mihin olisimme niitä keränneet. 

Mutta ne maistuivat hyviltä syödä suoraan suuhun.

We found lingonberries. We regretted that we didn't have a container to collect them in.

But they tasted good to eat straight into your mouth.

The forests of Finland are wonderful, you can pick berries such as blueberries, lingonberries, cloudberries, raspberry and various mushrooms etc. 

You can pick anywhere (every man's right) but not from someone else's yard.

Alkoi satamaan, emmekä halunneet kävellä, joten katsoimme bussireittiä ja aikatauluja, 

jolla pääsisi lähimmälle metroasemalle (Tapiola).

It started to rain and we didn't want to walk again, 

so we looked at the bus route and schedule to get to the nearest metro station (Tapiola).

Kesä on tullut luontoon. Oli muutama hellepäivä, mutta ei vielä kesälämpöjä.

Summer has arrived in nature. There were a few hot days, but no summer heat yet.

 

Jossain / Anywhere

 

Ajelin taas Kirkkonummelle, ja tuli tuttu silta vastaan (Långvik, n 7 km kotoa).

I drove again to Kirkkonummi (Espoo's neighboring municipality) 

and found a familiar bridge (Långvik, approx. 7 km from home).

Lähdin kävelemään tietä pitkin ja olin taas jossain ei missään. Mutta se oli mielenkiintoista, kun tuli pari autoa vastaan, ajajat moikkasivat kädenheilautuksella - ventovieraat. 

Tuli kiva mieli, että näin täällä maalla.

I started walking along the road and I was suddenly somewhere in nowhere. But it was interesting when two cars drove by, the drivers greeted me with a wave of their hands - the strangers. I felt nice.

Päin koivuja. / Towards the birches.

Piti ottaa kuva näistä kahvilan pöydistä, aika erikoiset.

I had to take a photo of these cafe tables, quite special.

Ei ole vaikea arvata, mikä rakennus tämä on.

Lampi / Pond

Lähellä (Kauklahdessa) on pieni lampi, jota myös kiertää n. 2 km luontopolku.

There is a small pond nearby, which is surrounded by a nature trail of about 2 km.

Täällä kuuntelin hiljaisuutta. Oli vain minä ja luonto.

Here I listened to the silence. It was just me and nature.

Muutama lumme oli myös vedessä.

I saw a few water lily flowers in the water.

Jännän muotoinen iso pahka.

I don't know the English name of this, and google translates very strangely. 

But the picture shows what it is.

Viikon varrelta / Throughout the week

 

Uimarannan kahvila laitettiin nurin. Pitäisi tulla uusi - mutta milloin.

The beach cafe was put upside down. Should come a new one - but when.

Paikalle ilmestyi viikolla sininen koppi. Ei taida olla kahvila, sisällä on pukukoppeja. Suuri mysteeri.

A blue booth appeared at the scene during the week. 

There doesn't seem to be a cafe, there are changing rooms inside. The great mystery.

Sävy sävyyn. / Tint to tone.

Eilisen kuvat ovat tänään jo "entisiä". Luonto vihertyy valtavin harppauksin. 

The pictures taken during the week are already "old" today. Nature is greening by huge leaps.

Koivuissa on jo lehdet. / The birches already have leaves.

Tuomen pieniä nuppuja.

Kopparnäs

Porkkalan Kopparnäsissa luontoilemassa. Ensin oli kaunis ilma, mutta kun käveltiin enempi. niin yks kaks alkoi sataa kaatamalla. Jäi enempi kuvien ottaminen, ja takaisin autoon ehdittyämme olimme aivan läpimärät - ja kumma kyllä, sadekin loppui.

Walking in Kopparnäs, Porkkala. At first there was beautiful air, but when we walked more. then in a flash it began to rain heavily. When we got back to the car, we were quite soaked - and oddly enough, the rain stopped.

Patikointia / Hiking

Aikani kun ajelin Kirkkonummella, saavuin Medvastån salmelle. Sinne parkkeerasin autoni.

While I was driving in Kirkkonummi, I arrived at the Strait of Medvastå. I parked my car there.

Tältä sillalta alkoi minun patikointi.

From this bridge began my hiking.

Metsätiellä kävellessä tunsin olevani täysin yksin jossain ei missään.

Hiking on a forest road anywhere I felt completely alone.

Keskellä metsää oli iso (hylätty?) navetta.

In the middle of the forest was a large (abandoned?) barn.
