Putkiremppa 2 / The pipe renovation

 

Putkiremontti jatkuu. Jalkakäytävä talomme edustalla on ollut jo jonkin aikaa kuvan näköinen.

The pipe renovation continues. 

The sidewalk in front of our house has looked like the picture for a while.

Nyt putki uusitaan kaupungin verkostoon asti, mikä sijaitsee keskellä tietä.

Noe the pipe will be renewed up to the city's pipe network, which is located in the middle of the street.

Pihalle kulku kielletty (ja se olisikin mahdotonta).

Access to the yard is prohibited (and it would be impossible).

Ehkä oli jo korkea aika tehdä tämä kallis remontti, sillä putki näyttää olevan jo melko kulunut, 

onhan talo rakennettu jo vuonna 1975. (Kuva R. Lyden). Paitsi ettei tuo kaupungin putkikaan mikään loistoputki ole.

Perhaps it was high time to do this expensive renovation, as the pipe seem to be quite worn out already, 

after all, the house was already built in 1975. Except that the city pipe doesn't look good either.

Ensi lumi / The first snow

 

Meille satoi aamulla aikaisin ensilumi. Piti ihan herättyä lähteä katsomaan tätä ihmettä ja kuvaamaan.

 Onneksi lumi suli pois, mutta tiedä sitten, milloin sataa seuraavan kerran - ja kunnon lunta. 

Tämä oli sellaista pientä ripsausta. Ja eihän ruskakaan ole vielä ohi.

We got the first snow early in the morning. When I woke up, I had to go look at this miracle and take some photos. Fortunately, the snow melted away quickly, but we'll see when a real winter comes. 

This snow was a bit too early, fall isn't over yet. This white substance can't really be called snow yet.

Minun taloni putkisaneerauksessa käytetyt työkoneet ovat nyt parkkeeranneet tälle vastapäiselle tyhjälle tontille. Ennen ne täytti jalkakäytävät ja veivät autoilta parkkitilaa.

The machines used in the plumbing renovation of my house are now parked on this empty lot opposite. 

Before, they filled the sidewalks and took parking space from cars.

Naapuriranta / The neighboring beach

 

Välillä tekee mieli ajella toiseen rantaan kuin aina kävellä lähirannalla. Nyt taas Haukilahdessa.

Sometimes you feel like driving to another beach instead of always walking on the home beach. 

Now I'm in Haukilahti again.

Syksyn tuloa ei voi estää / The arrival of autumn cannot be prevented

Ostosreissulla nähtyä. 

Paljon on vielä vihreää, mutta pikkuhiljaa sekaan on tullut keltaista ja punaista väriä.

Seen on a shopping trip. 

There is still a lot of green, but little by little yellow and red colors have increased.

Oman talon piha on vielä remontissa.

The yard of my own house is still under renovation.

Riihimäellä

 

Aika meni nopsaan kun Virve-tytär oli luonani. Kerran ajettiin Riihimäelle katsomaan asuntoa, jossa saan asua, kun lähden evakkoon, pois putkiremontin alta. Hieman myös käveltiin ympäristössä, mm vanhojen puutalojen alueella. Talojen värit ovat herkullisen värikkäitä.

Time went by quickly when my daughter Virve was with me. Once we drove to Riihimäki to look at the apartment where I can live when I have to go out of the pipe repair of my own flat. 

We also walked a bit in the surroundings, e.g. in the area of old wooden houses. The colors of the houses are deliciously colorful.

Oikealla on tuleva kotitaloni vajaan kolmen kuukauden ajaksi keväällä. Asunto on kaksio ja kalustettu, ja on n. 80 km päässä kotoani ja ajoaikaa on 1 tunti. En varmaan joka päivä, en ehkä joka viikkokaan ajele Espooseen. Tuntuu, että muutan jonnekin hyvin kauaksi pikkukaupunkiin, mutta luulen kuitenkin, että tulen viihtymään.

On the right there is my future home house for just under three months in the spring. My home is a two-room apartment and furnished, approx. 80 km from my home and the driving time is just 1 hour. I probably don't drive to Espoo every day, maybe not even every week. It feels like I'm moving somewhere very far to a small town, but I think I'll have a good time.

Syksyn väriä / Autumn color

 

Tänä vuonna ruska ei ole vielä parhaimmillaan. Mutta yhtä kaikki, kaunista on.

Autumn color is not at its most beautiful yet. But all the same, it's beautiful.

Minun tytär Virve tulee Sveitsistä viikoksi luokseni (ilman poikia). Odottelen nyt ajan kulumista, sillä hänen koneensa laskeutuu vasta yöllä myöhään. Säiden suhteen on hieman huono tuuri. On ollut kivat syysilmat, lämmintä, aurinkoista ja raikasta. Mutta ensi viikoksi on luvattu lähes joka päivälle sadetta, ja lämpöasteet alhaisiksi (n. 12 C –14 C).

My daughter Virve is coming to me from Switzerland for a week (without the boys). I am now waiting for time to pass, as her plane will not land until late over midnight. She has a bit of bad luck with weather. It has been nice autumn weather, warm, sunny and fresh. But rain is promised almost every day for the next week, and temperatures will be low (approx. 12 C -14 C).
