20 piikkiä kammassa /20 spikes in the comb

 

Enää 20 päivää, kun asunto pitää olla "luovutuskunnossa", eli huonekalut osittain kerätty keskelle lattiaa 

ja suojattu muovilla. Ja minä evakkona putkirempan alta pois. Olen mielestäni aika hyvin aikataulussa. Eritoten kun tyttäreni Virve tuli Sveitsistä lomallaan minua auttamaan ja kannustamaan.

Rautatieasemalla / At the railway station

Helsingin reissulla pistäydyin Rautatieasemalla. Minun ei tarvitse käyttää junaa mihinkään matkaan, joten nyt kävin katsomassa, miltä raiteelta lähtee juna Riihimäelle, jonne menen putkiremppaevakkoon kuukauden kuluttua. Siis satunnaiset junamatkat siinä tapauksessa, etten saisi talosta autopaikkaa, jolloin en voisi ottaa autoa mukaan.

On the trip in Helsinki, I went at the railway station. I don't need to use the train at all to make any trip, so now I went to see where the train leaves for Riihimäki, where I'll be moving after one month to escape the line renovation. That is, random train journeys in case I couldn't get a parking space in the house, in which case I can't take my car with me.

Pakkaspäivä Helsingissä / Freezing in Helsinki

 

Taas oli pakkasta, kun Hesaan oli mentävä. Oli jotain -15 C, mutta pureva tuuli sai ilman tuntumaan kylmemmältä. Ei siellä oikein viitsinyt turhaan kävellä.

It was freezing again when we had to go to Helsinki. It was something like -15 C, but the biting wind made the air feel colder. I didn't really want to walk around there for nothing.

Pyöräbaanalla ei näkynyt polkupyöriä, ainoat pyöräilijät oli Wolt-kuskit.

There were no bicycles on the bike tube, the only cyclists were Wolt drivers.

Mies ikkunan takana / A man behind the window

 

Asun neljännessä kerroksessa. 

Hieman hätkähdin, kun näin miehen kävelevän kuin ilmassa ikkunan takana.

I live on the fourth floor. 

I was startled a bit when I saw a man walking as if on air behind the window.

Talomme sai telineet seinälle. Nämä ovat katon korjausta varten.

Our house got racks on the wall. These are for roof repair.

Edelleen liukasta / Still slippery

Aurinko paistoi ja ajattelin kävellä rannalle. Mutta enpäs mennykään, 

sillä kaikki jalkatiet oli täysin jäässä. Saa todella kävellä kieli keskellä poskea.

The sun was shining and I thought about walking to the beach. But I didn't go, 

because all the sidewalks were completely slippery. You have to walk slowly and carefully.

Käsi kädessä. Jos toinen liukastuu, niin kaatuu se toinenkin..

Hand in hand. If one slips, the other will fall too..

Hiekka on painunut osittain jään alle, kun välillä on sulaa ja välillä pakastaa.

The sand has partially sunk under the ice, when sometimes it's thawing and sometimes it's freezing.

Minä kaselen ikkunastani tätä rakennustyömaahirvitystä. Näkymä on siis ruskean väristä.
