Purjeveneet / Sailboats

Joka tiistai-ilta purjeveneet tekevät yhteispurjehdusta. Parin tunnin kuluttua ne saapuvat takaisin.

Eilen oli todella tyyni sää, ja veneet tuskin pääsivät eteenpäin purjeilla. Ne lipuivat hitaasti.

Every Tuesday evening sailboats do a joint sailing. After a couple of hours they arrive back.

Yesterday the weather was really calm, and the boats could hardly get ahead with their sails.

Joka tiistai-ilta klo 18.00 purjeveneet lähtevät satamasta parituntiselle purjehdukselle.

Niiden ohimenoa on kiva katsella.

Every Tuesday evening at 18:00 sailboats leave the port for a couple of hours of sailing.

It's nice to watch them go by.

Meillä on pesinyt muutama joutsenpariskunta Tällä pariskunnalla on enää vain yksi poikanen. Surullista.

We have a couple of swans that have nested. This couple has only one chick left. It is sad.

Olimme ystävieni mökillä Kemiönsaarella ja ihana paikka onkin. Aivan meren rannalla.

We were at a cottage of my friend's on Kemiönsaari and it is a wonderful place. Right by the sea.

Pojat pääsivät elämänsä ensimmäiselle veneajelulle.

On taas se aika... / It's again the time...

 

On taas se aika, kun veneet vedetään maihin.

It is again the time when the boats are being hauled ashore for winter.

Ihanat ajat edessä / Wonderful time to come

Minulle tulee mukava vajaa kolme viikkonen. Tyttäreni Virve on paraikaa matkalla Suomeen kahden poikansa, Mikon ja Matin, kanssa. Lentoja ei saanut, joten Virve ajoi yhdessä päivässä Sveitsistä Saksan halki Travemündeen (n. 900 km), josta lautalla yli  Helsinkiin, Vuosaareen. Huomenaamulla sitten näen heidät, jahka on selvinnyt tullista ja ajomatkasta mun luo. Virvellä on kaksi rokotusta, joten ilmeisesti ei tule mitään ongelmia saapua maahan. Mulla on monta suunnitelmaa, mitä tehdään, kuin myös poikani perheelläkin. Viimeksi näin heidät jouluna ennen koronaa. Nyt olen hikihatussa tehnyt heille tilaa mun kotona, eli tyhjiä laatikoita pikkutavaroille ja vaatekaapinkin sain tyhjennettyä.

I will have a lovely three weeks. My daughter Virve is currently on her way to Finland with her two sons, Mikko and Matti. No flights were received, so Virve drove in one day from Switzerland across Germany to Travemünde (ab. 900 km), from where by ferry over to Helsinki, Vuosaari. Tomorrow morning they will arrive. Virve has two vaccinations, so apparently no problem will be coming to arrive in enter the country. I have many plans for what to do, as well as my son’s family has. The last time I saw them was at Christmas before the corona. Now I have arranged for them a free space in my home.
