Auringonlasku ja kuunpimennys / Sunset and lunar eclipse

Menimme perjantai-iltana Hanasaareen katsomaan kuunpimennystä. 

Mutta sitä odottaessamme saimme ensin ihailla auringonlaskua.

(En huomannut tuota reimaria kuunsillalla… pahus :)

While waiting for the lunar eclipse in Friday night, we first saw the sunset.

(I didn't notice the pole in the moonlight… shade)

Me odotimme.. ja odotimme.. jne. Pilviä kertyi - totta kai juuri tänä iltana. 

Mutta juuri kun olimme pettyneinä poislähdössä puolenyön jälkeen, 

näimme pienen punaisen kuun pilkistävän pilvien raosta, välillä näkyen ja välillä ei. 

Saimme sittenkin nähdä verikuun. 

Ei haitannut odottaminen, sillalla oli paljon ihmisiä ja yö oli tosi lämmin

We waited .. and waited for .. etc. Clouds came - of course this night. 

But just when we were disappointed in leaving after midnight, we could see a small red moon through clouds. 

We were able, after all, to see the blood moon. 

It didn't matter waiting, the bridge had a lot of people and the night was very warm.

Loviisa 2

Edelleen kauniissa pienessä uneliaassa kaupungissa, Loviisassa.
Still in a beautiful little sleepy town, in Loviisa.

Yhteen katuun oli piirretty päästä päähän räsymattoja.. taisi olla kauppakatu.

Käsityöliikkeen nimi (Rouva Hulda Huoleton) oli houkutteleva, joten mentiin portista sisään -
ja yllätyttiin..  

The name of the handicraft business ("Mrs. Hulda Carefree")  was very appealing. So we went in.

...  pihan toisella puolen oli ihana kahvila, Runda Munken. 

Lounasaika oli jo mennyt, mutta tyttö tiskin takana teki meille hyvät salaattiannokset.

...we were surprised..  in the yard on the other side was a lovely cafe, Runda Munken. 

There was no lunch time anymore, but the girl behind the counter made us good salad.

Täällä istuttiin aika kauan.. päivän helle ei vain hellittänyt, illalla tais olla vielä 27 C.

We stayed here for a long time.. the heat did not decrease, it might be in the evening still about 27 C.

Loviisa 1

Helteinen päivä Loviisassa. Pieni ja hiljainen, mutta kummasti siellä vierähti kokonainen päivä.

We spend a hot day in a small, sleepy old town, Loviisa, on the East Coast, about 120 km from my home. There are many wooden houses.

Ei tuolla moneen ihmiseen törmännyt. / We didn't see there many people.

Tuhannen tuskan kahvila, paikka joka täytyy kokea.

A lovely cafe (Read here). The cafe got its name ("The cafe of thousand pains") of illicit speakeasy which was in this old wooden house during prohibition of alcohol in the 1930's

Jos on sisäpiha fantastinen, niin ei sisätilatkaan ole hassumpia, vai mitä.

I love the inside of this cafe.

Keskustasta kohti satamaa. 

Loviisa on niin pieni kaupunki, että sen kiertää päivässä vaikka kuinka moneen kertaan.

From the center to the harbor. Loviisa is such a small town that you can walk around it many times.

Uimarannalla / On the beach

Kivenlahden uimaranta, kylläpä on paljon väkeä… :)

Kivenlahti beach, there are a lot of people.

Merivesi on uskomattomat 25 °C. En muista milloin se olisi ollut yhtä korkea. Yleensä on 17-21 °C.

Sea water is incredible 25 °C. I don't remember when it was just as high. Usually it's 17-21 °C.

Mahtaa olla kuuma, lämpöä varjossa 31 °C. Onneksi rannalla hieman tuulee.

They might have a bit sultry feeling, heat in the shade is 31 °C. Fortunately, there is a little wind.

Hieman sivummalla löytyy rauhallisia sopukoita.

Slightly on the side, there are a quiet places.

Lato ja hellettä / Barn and the heat

Nyt on tosi tosi hellettä. Ei mitään jaksaisi tehdä, enkä voi enkä tykkää olla auringossa. Niinpä hyppään välillä autoon ja kiertelen lähimaaseutua. Ja yritän metsästää latoja ynnä muita vanhoja juttuja. Usein on tosin mahdotonta pysäyttää auto kuvaamista varten vaikka näkisi kuinka upean ladon.

Now it is very, very hot weather. You cannot do nothing, and I cannot be and don't like to be in the sun. So sometimes I jump in the car and drive around countryside. And I'm trying to find barns and other old stuff. Usually it's difficult to stop the car for photographing even if I see a great barn.

Tänään illalla n. 19.00 aikaa sisällä ja ulkona oli hetken sama lämpötila - ei yhtään kivaa.

Tonight at about 7:00 pm in the evening there was outside the same temperature as inside - no nice.

Helsingissä on ollut vilskettä kun Trumppi ja Putin oli täällä. Mutta enpä sinne ole viitsinyt/jaksanut mennä katselemaan tällä helteellä. Kiertelen vaan maaseutuja… heh.

In Helsinki there has been bustle because Trump and Putin were there (20 km from my home). But I didn't go there to watch in this hot weather. I'm just driving and walking around the countryside ... hi.

Viikonlopun heijastus / Weekend reflections

Ehdin just ja just saamaan illan viime hetken auringonvalon, ennenkuin aurinko piiloutui pilven taakse. 

Näiden kahden kuvan välillä on n. 5 minuuttia.

At the last minute, I got a photo of the last sunlight of evening before the sun was hiding behind the cloud.

There are ab. 5 minutes between these two pictures.

On tullut otettua vähänlaisesti kuvia viime aikoina,

Vesiletkutemppuilua / Tricks with water hose

Sunnuntaina koin miellyttävän katseluhetken, kun mies temppuili letkun päässä (en tiedä, mikä tämän lajin nimi on). On oltava mielettömän hyvä tasapaino, sillä hän muutteli vartalollaan suuntaa syöksyihin ja piruetteihin. 

Kysyin myöhemmin taiturilta, joskos harjoitteli jotain varten, niin kertoi, että SM-kisoihin.
Lisäys: Vieressä olevasta vesiskootterista tulee virtaa, jotta vesi nousee putkea pitkin ylös.
Lisäys 2: Tämä laite ja laji on nimeltään Flyboard.

On Sunday I found a pleasant viewing moment, when a man made tricks at the end of the hose 

(I do not know what the name of this species is). The man must have an astonishingly good balance, as he changed his direction with his body for swoops and piruettes .. and so on.

 I asked later if he was practicing for something, and he said for the Finnish Championship. 
Edit. Adjacent  jet-ski give power to allow water to rise along the pipe.
