Sveitsi (3) - Rossweid / Switzerland

 Yhtenä päivänä ajattelivat tarjota minulle kelkkamäkikokemuksen. Auto täyteen puukelkkaa (2 kpl) ja pulkkaa (2 kpl). Minun oli tarkoitus laskea Virven takana. Mutta perillä oli tieto, että kelkkamäki oli suljettu - ei vielä kunnossapitoa. Eikä ollut suksia mukana. Mutta noustiin silti ylös (1465 m).

One day they thought give me a sledding experience. We had with 2 wooden sleds and 2 large sleds. 

I was supposed to count down the hill behind Virve. But the sledge hill was closed - no yet maintenance. And we had no skis included. But still we got up to the top (1465 m)

Mielenkiintoinen näky. Laakson toisella puolen vuorenrinne oli täysin lumeton. 

Ja meidän puolella oli täysi laskettelubuumi käynnissä. 

An interesting sight. The mountainside on the other side of the valley was totally snowless. 

And our side had a full ski running.

Käveltiin, nautittiin auringosta ja lumesta ja istuttiin hetken terassilla.

We walked, enjoyed the sun and the snow and sat for a moment on the terrace.

Alas mentiinkin kävellen. Aluksi kelkkamäkikourua pitkin. Vieressä oli laskettelijoiden alasmenoväylä.

We went down by foot.  Initially along a sledge road. Next to it was the downhill runway for skiers.

Osin oltiin kelkkareitillä, osin oltiin vaelluspoluilla, metsässä ja aukeilla paikoilla.

Sometimes we were on a toboggan run, sometimes on hiking trails, in the woods and openings.

Ei todellakaan ole hyvä pohja kelkkailla.

There really is no good base for sledding.

Kiitin taas hiljaa mielessäni, että kelkkamäki oli suljettu. En luultavasti olisi uskaltanut laskea… :) 

I thanked again in quiet of my mind that the sledge was closed. 

I probably wouldn't have dared to count. ... :)

Sveitsiläiset on "keksineet" hienon tavan nauttia lumesta. Jos haluat lumiurheilua tms, niin hyppää vaan autoon ja aja lumen luo. Me sen sijaan tarvomme lumessa läpi talven kaiket päivät.

A Swiss "has invented" an excellent way to enjoy snow. If you want to do snow sports etc, then jump into the car and go to the snow. Instead, we in Finland are walking all the days in the snow.
