Sambakarnevaalit 1

     

Helsingissä oli viikonvaihteessa Sambakarnevaalit. Ja sinnehän myös minä menin. Espoon lähiössä asuvana, jossa harvoin näkee yli 10 ihmistä yhtäaikaa kadulla, niin oli taas shokki nähdä näin paljon ihmisiä yhtäaikaa.. heh.

The Samba Carnival was held in Helsinki at the weekend. And I went there too. Living in the suburbs of Espoo, where you rarely see more than 10 people on the street at the same time, it was again a shock to see so many people at the same time.. heh.

Kävelin Senaatintorille, josta kulkueet alkoi. Kirkon portaat oli täynnä istuvia katselijoita.

I walked to Senate Square, where the processions started. 

The steps of the church were full of seated spectators.

Kesäpolut / Summer paths

 

Kivenlahti on ihan kiva paikka asua, on vihreyttä ja polkuja, jotka vievät minne tahansa vain haluaa.

(ainakin toistaiseksi, ennen kuin rakentavat kaikki paikat tiiviisti tornitaloja).

Kivenlahti is a nice place to live, there is greenery and paths for go anywhere you want to go

(at least for now, before they build all the places densely tower houses).

Tämä polku vie uimarannalle ja venesatamaan.

This path leads to the beach and marina.

Tämä oikopolku johtaa tiiviisti rakennettuun ns. kaupunkikeskittymään, 

jossa on mm. Metroasema ja kauppakeskus Lippulaiva.

This shortcut leads to a densely built so-called urban center,

which has, for example, Metro station and shopping center Lippulaiva.

Luontopolulla / On a nature path #2/2

Saavuimme meren rantaan, jossa on myös Lähteelän venekerho. 

Ilma oli lämmin, niin mikä sen mukavampaa kuin hieman oleskella täällä.

We arrived at the seaside, where there is also the Lähteelä boat club. 

The weather was warm, so what could be nicer than staying here for a while.

Ystäväni tyttären vene oli laiturissa, ja kävimme tervehtimässä ja joimme kahvit veneessä.

My friend's daughter's boat was at the pier, and we went to say hello and drink coffee on the boat.

Takaisin kohti parkkipaikkaa.

Back towards the parking lot.

Parkkipaikan lähellä oli kiva puusee.

There was a nice outside toilet near the parking lot.

Kuin myös vanha hirsimökki. Tokko tuolla asui kukaan.

There was also an old log cabin. I think no one lived there.

Olimme liikkeellä ystäväni autolla, kuis ollakkaan se on myös micra. Ja väri on punainen.

We were driving my friend's car, she has also Micra. And the color is red.

Luontopolulla / On a nature path #1/2

Lähteelän luonnonpuisto ja mukava luontopolku löytyi Kirkkonummen Porkkalasta.

Oli todella kiva paikka, vaikka matkaa oli hieman enemmän, eli vähän yli 30 km ja todella mutkikas tie. 

Mutta ajaminen kannatti.

A nice nature trail was found in Porkkala. The distance was ab. 30 km and part of the road 

was very winding. But it was worth it, there was a great place waiting for us there.

Aikansa kun käveltiin, saavuimme Sundsin lintutornille. Jostain syystä minua alkoi hirvittää korkeus, ja kapusin vain puoleen väliin. Täältäkin oli jo mahtavat maisemat, mitä lie tuolta aivan huipulta. Ensi kerralla sitten.

After some time we walked, we arrived at the Sunds bird tower. For some reason I started to get scared of heights, and I only climbed halfway. There were great views from here too, but what about from the very top. Next time then I'll climb.

Ukkospilvet / Thunder clouds

Olin menossa läheiselle luontopolulle kävelemään. Kotoa lähtiessä vielä paistoi aurinko, mutta viiden kilsan päässä olevalla polun alkupäässä näkyi jo pilviä, ja ehdin kävellä vain n. 100 m, kun alkoi sataa ja lujaa. Istuin hetken suojassa, mutta kun ukkonen ja sade yltyi rajuksi lähdin ajelemaan takaisin kotiin. Ja se sadekin tietenkin lakkasi, joten tuntui, että luonto teki vain kiusaa.

I was going for a walk on a nearby nature trail. When I left home, the sun was still shining, but at the beginning of the trail, five kilometers away, clouds were already visible, and I only managed to walk about 100 m when it started raining. I sat sheltered for a while, but when the thunder and hard rain came I started driving back home. And the rain also stopped soon, of course, so it felt like the raining was just tease.

Väriä joka puolella / Color everywhere

 

Täysi kevät tuli lähes yllättäen. Joka puolella värikkäitä kukkia ja vihreää luontoa. Ja lämpöä sopivasti.

Full spring came almost unexpectedly. Colorful flowers and green nature everywhere. 

And appropriately warm.
