Kirsikan kukkia edelleen / Cherry blossoms again

 

On nämä kirsikan kukat niin ihania, ja kun ne vielä kukkii, niin niin niitä ei voi olla kuvaamatta. 

Ja näitä kun löytyy sieltä täältä.

Cherry blossoms are so lovely, and when they're still blooming, you can't help but take pictures of them.

And these can be found everywhere.

Uimaranta on otettu jo käyttöön. Sää on mitä helteisin.

The swimming beach is already in use.

Suomen Cha-cha-cha tuli toiseksi. Vaikka en yleensä enää katsele Euroviisuja, niin nyt piti valvoa ja katsoa pisteiden annot. Oli jännittävä loppu.

Finland's Cha-cha-cha came second. Although I usually don't watch Eurovision any more, now I had to monitor and watch the points. It was an exciting ending.

Euroviisut / Eurovision

Käärijän bolero Assan kivimiehillä.

Tomorrow Saturday is the European song contest, Eurovision. Our show is Käärijä's Cha, cha, cha. 

And it's a pre-favourite.. That's why every place has a performer's costume or its color, 

even the stonemen of the train station got it.

Suomi menee täysin sekaisin, jos me voitetaan. Ja kun vielä on MM Lätkäkin samaan aikaan.

Finland will go completely crazy if we win. 

And there is also the Ice Hockey World Cup at the same time.

Ei ole ihan minun makuun tämä kappale, mutta sillä ei ole merkitystä.

I don't really like this song, but that doesn't matter.

Kukkia sun muuta / Flowers and landscapes

Kivenlahdessa on yksi seinänvierus, jossa magnolia kukkii.

In Kivenlahti, there is one side of the wall where the magnolia is blooming.

On ollut muutama hellepäivä ja kesä on jo ihan ovella, vihreys valtaa alaa.

It's been a few hot days and summer is just around the corner, the green is taking over the area.

Kirsikankukat / Cherry blossoms

Kirsikka kukkii jälleen Kivenlahdessa. On tämä vaan niin kaunista ja keväistä.

Cherry blossoms again in Kivenlahti. This is just so beautiful and springy.

 

Punainen taivas / Red sky

Parvekkeelta näin auringonlaskun aiheuttaman upean punaisen pilven.

From my balcony I could see a spectacular red cloud caused by the sunset.

 

Erilainen vappuaatto / Different mayday even

Oli hieman erilainen vappuaatto kuin tavallisesti. Yleensä en lähde aattona juhlimaan, mutta eilen tehtiin poikkeus ystäviemme kanssa, ja olimme kirkossa. Jumalanpalveluksen jätimme väliin, sensijaan illansuussa menimme kakkukahville (oli myös kalakeittoa). Paljon oli lapsiperheitä. Myöhemmin siellä soitettiin teknomusiikkia, jonka tahdissa oli myös mahdollisuus tanssia. Se musiikki ei todellakaan ollut minun makuuni, mutta lapset hyppivät ja tanssivat, samoin kuin jotkut aikuisetkin ja kaikilla näytti olevan hauskaa. Enpä ole ennen kuullut, että kirkossa olisi jytätanssit. Mutta aika menee eteenpäin, ja tulee uudet jutut.

It was a slightly different May Day than usual. Usually, I don't go to parties on the eve, but yesterday we made an exception with my friends, and we went to the church. We were not at the church service but we later went for cake coffee (there was also fish soup). There were many families with children. Later, techno music was played, to the rhythm of which there was an opportunity to dance. The music wasn't really to my taste, but the kids were jumping and dancing, as were many of the adults too and everyone seemed to be having fun. We watched the hustle and bustle of our time and then went away. I've never heard of dancing in church because it's not our custom in Finland. But, I think, it's the new time.

Piipahdus Helsingissä / Visit in Helsinki

Koronan aikana ja jälkeen en ole käynyt Hesassa kävelemässä. Eli nyt pitkästä aikaa kävelin ristiin rastiin. Ensin piti käydä julkisilla Kirurgin sairaalassa korvaosastolla normaalilla tarkastuskäynnillä (matka oli metro + ratikka = 1 tunti, autolla kuluisi n. 20 min, mutta on ollut vaikea löytää parkkipaikkaa, ja kävely on jäänyt väliin) ja paluumatka metrolle sitten kävellen.

During and after the corona, I haven't been to Helsinki for a walk. So now I walked for a long time. First I had to visit the Ear Hospital during a normal checkup (the journey was metro + tram = 1 hour, by car it would take ab. 20 min, but it has been difficult to find a parking space, and the walk has been missed) and the return trip to the subway on foot.

On missäpäin tahansa Hesassa, niin aina näkyy rakentamista tai tietöitä.

Wherever you are in Hesa, you can always see construction or road works.

Kasarminkatu on suora ja pitkä kuin nälkävyö. Tällä kertaa päätin kävellä sen päästä päähän keskustaan.

Kasarminkatu is straight and very long street. This time I decided to walk it from start to finish to the center.

Meitä on vähän. Löytyy paikkoja. jossa ei näy paljon ihmisiä, kuten Rautatientori.

There are few of us. There are several places. where you don't see many people, like Railway square. There you can see the Railway station in left, and National Theatre.

Kevät tuli ja samoin Alepan kaupunkipyörät.

Spring arrived and so did Aleppo's city bikes.

Kävelin n. 9500 askelta ja selkä olikin sit tosi kipeä kaksi päivää. Tais tulla haukattua liian pitkä kävelymatka, mutta sitähän sanotaan, että liike on lääke.

I walked approx. 9500 steps and my back was really sore for two days. Maybe it was too long a walk, but it is said that movement is medicine.

I've probably taken hundreds of photos of this tower. All in all, this is a popular shooting destination.

Löysin pääsiäispuun muutama päivä sitten. Onkohan nuo koristeet läpi kesän? Kivoja ovat.

I found the Easter tree a few days ago. Do those decorations last all summer? I think they are nice.
