Sotkuisuudesta huolimatta toi on melko hellyyttävä yritys olla muraali.

Kuva on otettu silloin kun aurinko vielä paistoi, eli viime viikolla.

Vaaleanpunainen piristää / Pink cheer up

 

On harmaata ja pirun kylmä tuuli. Onneksi vaatteilla saa vähän väriä näkyville.

It's a gray autumn day and a damn cold wind. Fortunately, the clothes get a little color visible.

Uusi tilapäinen parkkipaikka metrotyömiehille. 

Tässä oli ennen pieni metsikkö mutta muutaman vuoden kuluttua tulee pari 10-12 kerroksista tornitaloa (Metro on tulossa..).

New temporary parking space for for subway builders.

Here was before a very small forest but in a few years, a couple of 10-12-storey tower blocks will come here (because Metro is coming..).

Syksy / Autumn

Syksy saapui ja sateet vei (melkein) viimeisetkin lehdet puista.

Autumn arrived and the rain took away even (almost) the last leaves of the trees.

Minun kyynärpää on parantunut tosi hyvin. No, se olikin vain pieni hiusmurtuma. Mutta silti sen paraneminen kokonaan kestää sen 6 viikkoa. Eilen olin jälkitarkastuksessa, eikä kättä tarvitse enää pitää kantohihnassa. Ja sain luvan ajaa autoa ! 

My elbow has healed really well. Well, it was just a small hair break. But still it takes 6 weeks to fully heal. Yesterday I was in a follow-up inspection and no longer need to be kept on a carrying strap. And I got permission to drive a car!

Lippulaivan työmaa-aidan muraalit / Murals

Uuden Espoolahden kauppakeskuksen, Lippulaivan, suoja-aitaa kirkon pihalta katsottuna. Rakennuksesta tulee valtava, siihen tulee kauppakeskus, metroasema (toiseksi viimeinen, viimeinen on sitten Kivenlahdessa) ja bussiasema sekä asuintorneja, ym ym. Pitäisi valmistua 2022, ainakin kauppakeskuksen osalta (monttua kaivettiin jo 2017).

The construction site fence of future shopping center, Lippulaiva ("Flagship"), seen from the courtyard of the church. The building becomes huge and it will contain a shopping center, subway station and bus station and also residential towers, etc. It should be completed by 2022, at least the shopping center.

Ambulanssit

 

Kompastuin viikolla kuoppaan, ja lensin päistikkaan mahalleen. Kävin Jorvin sairaalassa kuvauttamassa käden, jossa todettiin pieni hiushalkeama. Onneksi se (kyynärpää) ei ole kipeä juuri ollenkaan. Kerran vuodessa on näemmä aina kaaduttava, ja nyt tapahtui tämän vuotinen kupsahdus. Kuvassa on kahden sairaalan välisen yhdyskäytävän lasiseinään heijastuvat ambulanssit (jotka on samalla tasolla, missä itse seison).

I stumbled this week into a pit, and flew to the stomach. I went to Jorvi Hospital to take a picture of the elbow  where a small hairline was found. It is not very sore, fortunately. Once a year, I always have to crash, and now this year’s bump happened. In the picture there are reflected of ambulances (which are on the same level as I stand) in the glass wall of the gateway between the two hospitals.

Metroaidan graffitteja / Graffiti in the Metro fence 1

Metroa rakennetaan Kivenlahteen asti (pitäisi valmistua v. 2023), ja metroaidat on olleet jokapäiväinen näky jo monen vuoden ajan. Graffiteja saa maalata muutamiin aitoihin ihan luvan kanssa. 

Tässä muutama Kivenlahden aitagraffitti.

The metro will be built to Kivenlahti (it will complete in 2023), and subway fences have been an everyday sight already for a many years now. The city has permitted to paint graffiti to some fences.

Espoon Karakalliossa on myös ihastuttavia Isaac Cordalin luomia miniatyyrihahmoja sijoitettuina sinne tänne. Niille ei ole annettu osoitteita, ne joko löytää tai sitten ei. Aiemmin syksyllä löysin kahdeksan, nekin ihmisten neuvojen perusteella. Tosi ystävällisiä ihmisiä, pari eläkeläisherraakin kulki kanssani ja näytti muutaman hahmon ("eihän tässä ole kuin aikaa", sanoivat, kun kiittelin heitä).  Nyt muraalikierroksella löytyi kaksi lisää. Niitä pitäisi olla 20 kpl. Eli uutta kierrosta vaan taas joskus.

Karakallio in Espoo also has lovely miniature figures created by Isaac Cordal placed here and there. Miniatures are not given addresses, people either find them or don’t. Earlier in the fall, I found eight, based on people’s advice. Really friendly people, a couple of retired gentlemen also walked with me and showed me some ones ("they have nothing but time," they said as I thanked them). Now two more were found on the mural tour. There should be 20 of them. That is, a new round sometimes again.
