LUX Helsinki 2018 /1

LUX Helsinki oli jälleen täällä. Ihmisiä oli liikkeellä todella paljon, ja kaikki me liikuttiin reitin mukaisesti samaan suuntaan pisteestä toiseen. Tämä reititys samoin kuin puomein estetyt autolla-ajot, mahdollisti lähes pimeässä kävelyn, ts. katulamput oli sammutettu. Oli vinha tunne. Kaikista mahtavin oli Arkkiteehtuurimuseon seinään heijastettu Janne Aholan "Ajan rooli". Sitä olisi voinut katsella vaikka kuinka monta kertaa. Harras hiljaisuus vallitsi katsojien keskuudessa.

LUX Helsinki -light event was again here. In the city there was really a lot of people, and all of us walked the show route in the same direction from one destination to another one  There was boom-blocked driving, it made possible to walk almost in the dark... the street lamps were switched off. 
The greatest of all was the Janne Ahola's "The Role of Time" on the wall of the Architectural Museum. It could have been watched how many times. There was a great silence among the audience.

Aurinko - mikä ihme / The sun - what a miracle

Lukemattomien sadepäivien jälkeen ilmestyi aurinko - mikä ihana sana. 

Eihän se kauan kestänyt, mutta sai mielen iloiseksi ja oli päästävä ulos kameran kanssa.

After many many rainy days the sun appeared. It didn't last long, 

but made the mind happy and had to take the camera out.

Uusi vuosi 2018 / New Year 2018

Vuosi vaihtui rakettien paukkeessa. Kirkkonummen Sundsbergissä oli mielettömän upea näytös. 

Kuin myös Kivenlahdessa keskiyöllä.

Kiitän kaikkia menneestä vuodesta. Vaikka olenkin ollut hieman huono bloggari viime ajat enkä ole juuri vieraillut luonanne, niin ei se merkitse etten muistaisi teitä. Toivonkin kaikille

The year changed with fireworks and I saw some great shows.

I thank for all of you the past year. Even though I've been a bit of a bad bloggirl lately and I haven't visited by you, that doesn't mean I do not remember you. So I hope everyone

Taisin päästä pelkällä säihkähdyksellä tuon funssan suhteen. Pienten lasten perheessä se oli kiertänyt sitkeästi loppuvuoden vuoronperään jokaisella perheenjäsenellä (6-henkeä), ja olin ollut paljon heidän kanssaan, niin johan olisikin ollut ihme, jollei jossain määrin olisi tarttunut minuunkin. Mutta nyt tunnen olevani elossa jälleen..

The flu passed me by fright. In the family of kids it had been circulating each member of the family at the end of the year, and I had been a lot with them, so it would have been a miracle if flu had not touched me to some extent. But now I feel I'm alive again ..

Päivän sää: harmaata / Today's weather: gray

Vuosi taitaa vaihtua lumettomassa säässä täällä etelärannikolla. Eilinen päivä oli tätä.

In these days we don't have any snow. And the weather is mostly very gray. These photos was taken yesterday.

Olen ollut hyvin laiska ja väsynyt viime päivät. Ehkä olen saanut flunssan, sillä koko kroppa on myös kipeä, 

erityisesti jalat ja polvet. Ei tee mieli edes lenkkeillä. Ehkä ensi vuosi on parempi.

Kiitos kaikista ihanista jouluntoivotuksista 

ja nyt toivon teille kaikille hyvin antoisaa ja iloista uutta vuotta 2018.

I have been very lazy and tired the last few days. Maybe I've got the flu, because the whole body is also sore, especially my legs and knees. Maybe next year is better.

Meinasi unohtua joulutoivotus teille kaikille. Mutta nyt on rosolli tehty, lahjat paketoitu, Turun Joulurauha kuunneltu - ja kohta lähden joulun viettoon pikkuisten luokse. Heillä on pyörinyt yskä-ym flunssavirus koko 6-henkisessä perheessä vuorotellen, ja niinpä pikkuiset on ollut minun luonani aikas paljon. Mutta nyt heidän pitäis olla kutakuinkin kunnossa - ainakin jouluaaton.

I almost forgot to wish you Merry Christmas. Soon I'll go to spend Christmas evening to my grandchildren.

Kenkiä / Shoes

Pieniä kenkiä - ja vähän isompiakin. Leevin kerhon joulujuhlien eteinen.

Small shoes - and a bit bigger in the lobby of Leevi's kindergarden in a Christmas Party.

Tiedän, ettei joka maassa ole tällainen tapa. Mutta kaikkialla ei olekaan loska- ja kurakelejä.

Do you leave in your country your shoes in the hall when you'll go inside home?

We always take off shoes when entering a home or we are visiting because we have a lot of snow and slush.

Lumiriemuja / Snow joys

Muutaman lumettoman päivän jälkeen saatiin perjantaina taas lunta. 

Sitä tuli paljon, mutta se oli myös märkää eli oli hyvä lumipallokeli.

After a few snowless days, snow came again on Friday.

It came a lot, but it was also wet, that it was good for making snowballs.

En olisi uskonut, että saavat näin isot pallot pyöritettyä.

I would not have believed that they would get as big balls rotated as they did.

Pöydän alta löytyi hiekkaa, mausteeksi pulliin.

They found sand under the table, it was a good spice for pastry.

Olivat märkiä kuin uitetut koirat kun kotiin päästiin… :)

Raikas talvisää, hekoheko / Winter weather

Kummallinen joulukuu - pari päivää lunta, sitten monta päivää vesisadetta, ja välissä päivä aurinkoa. 

Tänään  oli vuorossa lunta ja räntää. Muutama hetki ulkona niin olit litimärkä.

Really peculiar December - a couple of days of snow, then many days of raining, and sometimes one sunny day. Today it was the turn of snow and sleet. When you were outdoors, you were soaking wet.

Sunnuntaina oli sadepäivä, Lohjan markkinoilla oli tosi kurja sää - eipä siellä tullut edes kuvattuakaan.

Christmas market last Sunday, there was raining and cold and no snow. I didn't took many photos.

Kaunis päivä valkeni juhlistaen pienen pakkasen ja auringonpaisteen kera 100-vuotiasta kotimaatamme.

Tallinna - mural

Tehtiin viime viikolla Tallinnan risteily, ja ihan satama-alueella näkyi tämä seinämaalaus.

Oli sateista ja märkää, joten varsinainen kaupunkikierros jäi suosiolla väliin.

Last week we were in a Tallinn cruise (in Estonia), and just in the harbor area I found this mural.

It was rainy and wet weather, so we didn't want to walk to the old town.

Cheerleading

Olin lauantaina katsomassa Cheerleading-näytöstä.  Golden Spirit/junior esitti 20 v. syysnäytöksen. Mukana oli myös Lilli (aloittelevat) ja Peppi (hän on 15-vuotias ja olivat mm. kesällä EM-kilpailussa Prahassa 6. sijalla).

I was watching the Cheerleading performance on Saturday. Golden Spirit / junior presented a 20-year autumn show. There was also Lilli (novice) and Peppi (she is already 15 years old and they were in the EM competition in Prague in the summer, 6th place).
