Päivä Helsingissä / A day in Helsinki #1

 

Vietin päivän Helsingissä. Olin silmäsairaalassa, ja sieltä kävelin keskustaan (7,5 km).

Välttelin ankeita suoria katuja, ja nautin kävellä.

I spent a day in Helsinki. I was in the eye hospital, and from there I walked to the center (7.5 km).

I avoided the dreary straight streets, and enjoyed walking.

Pienen hetken kävelin Mannerheimintietä pitkin.

I walked along Mannerheimintie for a short while.

Stadion.

Auringonlasku / Sunset

Taivas oli eilen hetken aivan punainen. 

The sky was completely red for a while yesterday.

Sillan päällä ja alla / On the bridge and under it

 

Sillalla, joka yhdistää kaksi kuntaa, Espoon ja Kirkkonummen. Taustalla näkyy Kivenlahti.

On the bridge that connects two municipalities, Espoo and Kirkkonummi. 

Kivenlahti can be seen in the background.

Tänne on kiva kävelyreitti. / It's nice to walk here

Kun kulkee sillan ali, niin rantaraitti jatkuu vielä kauas.

When you pass under the bridge, the coastal path continues for a long way.

Hyökyvuoren pysäköintihalli #4 / Parking garage

Panoraama parvekkeeltani. Onneksi katupuut on vielä edessä. Nyt rakennus on harjakorkeudessa.

Kohta rakennetaan etuosa umpeen. Silloin nosturi siirtyy kadulle ja liikenne vaikeutuu.

Soon the front part will be built. Then the crane will move to the street and the traffic will be difficult.

Lätäkössä / In the puddle

 

Oli sekunneista kiinni, että sain pyöräilijän heijastumaan lätäkköön.

It was a matter of seconds that I had the cyclist reflected in the puddle.

Vaaleanpunainen taivas / The pink sky

Eilen oli aivan pinkki tunnelma.

Yesterday was a very pink mood.

Tämä kuva on hieman oudonnäköinen. On kuin kuu olisi "maassa" varjonsa kanssa, 

mutta on se kuitenkin taivaalla, ja pieni pilvi on sen alapuolella.

This picture is a little strange looking. It's like the moon is "on the ground" with its shadow,

but it is still in the sky, and a little cloud is below it.

Kaksi viikkoa kulunut, kun viimeksi postasin tätä parkkitaloa. Se nousee aika nopeasti. Vielä yksi kerros ainakin tulee lisää. Kuvat on otettu minun parvekkeelta. Onneksi kadun vaahterat vielä vähän suojaa.

It's been two weeks since I last posted about this garage. It goes up pretty quickly. There will be at least one more layer. The pictures were taken from my balcony. Fortunately, the street maples still provide some protection.
