Venesatamassa / On the marina

Eilen oli harvinaisen kaunis ja aurinkoinen ilma pitkästä aikaa. 

On joitakin huonomuistisia veneenomistajia, ovat unohtaneet veneet laituriin.

Yesterday was an extraordinarily beautiful and sunny weather for a long time.

There are some forgetful boat owners, they have forgotten the boats on the docks.

Vielä kerta keskiviikkoinen sade Narikkatorilta. 

Enää ei sada, vaan on kuiva ja oikein mukava yhden plussa-asteen keli.

It does not rain anymore, it's dry and a very nice one plus degree weather.

Päivän diettiohje: Ole lämmössä ja laihdu.
Today's diet: Be in the warm and lose weight.

Perjantaina olin mummina koko päivän. Tehtiin Leevin kanssa viimehetken lumiukko lumikasalumesta. 

Iltapäivällä tehty - ja viidessä tunnissa (+ 4 C) oli laihtunut jo alle missin mittojen.

On Friday I was grandma all day. We made with Leevi last minute snowman using snow pile. 

He was made afternoon - and after five hours he was melted very lean (we had heat +4 C).

Heijastus / Reflection

Tiistai-aamuna sattui olemaan harvinaisen kirkas aamu, jolloin näkyi upeat heijastukset.
Veden päällä oli aivan ohut jääriite. Ja pian nousi vähän usvaakin.
Kuvassa on lahden takaisen Kirkkonummen uusi kerrostaloalue.

On Tuesday morning it was a quite bright morning and there was lovely reflections. 

There was very thin ice on the water. And soon rose to a little mist.

Weekend Reflections

Kaupunkiloskaa / City slush

"Talven" selkä on taittunut, ensilumi kesti kaksi viikkoa.
Vielä pari päivää sitten oli näinkin loskaista ja kurjaa… ei mitenkään ihanaa aikaa.
Mutta nyt plussa-asteet (tänäänkin +4 °C) ja vesisateet on sulattanut lumet kaduilta lähes kokonaan..
mitä nyt ruskeat kasat on jäljellä. Nyt on vain märkää ja pimeetä...

"Winter" is behind, the first snow lasted two weeks. A few days ago there was slush on the misery 
as you can see in photos ... and in no way a wonderful time.
But warm weather (today +4 °C) and a couple of days of rain is almost completely 
melted the snow on the streets .. of course brown heaps are left. Now it's only wet and dark ...

Lasten riemu / Happy Children

Lenkillä ollessani näin pienen lastantarharyhmän menevän lähimetsään retkelle. 

Ja seuraavan kerran näin heidät iloitsevan mäenlaskusta.

When I was jogging I saw small children going to the nearby forest for a trip.

And the next time I saw them falling in the hill. They seemed very happy.

Lunta tulvillaan / Lots of snow

Nämä kuvat on otettu viime viikolla, kun sitä lunta tuli ja tuli ja tuli.

Enkeli taivaan / An angel in the sky

Tänään paistoi aurinko pitkästä aikaa, taisi olla viisi päivää pelkkää lumisadetta.

Näin enkelin taivaalla, toivottavasti se merkitsee enempi aurinkoa ja hyvää oloa.

Today the sun was shining for a long time, it was five long days of snowstorms.

I saw an angel in the sky, hopefully it means more sun and good feelings.

Enemmän lunta / More snow

Lapion käyttö oli tänään hyvin yleinen näky.

The car got stuck in the snow. A very common sight today when the car was parked.

Se on sitten talvi / Now it is winter

 Lunta on tullut yli omiin tarpeisiin, ja koko ajan tulee lisää. Takuulla on tullut jo yli 20 cm.
Tänään oli tosi viimanen ja kylmä tuuli (-6 °C).
Mä en tajuu kuinka marraskuun alussa on jo täysi talvi.

Viime hetken veneenkuljetus rannalta talvisäilöön jonnekin.

The snow has come over to my needs, and all the time it will be more. 

Certainly there is snow more than 20 cm. Today was a really cold wind (-6 °C).

I can not stand that at the beginning of November is already full winter ..

Näköalat / Views 2

Edellisen postauksen Fortumin tornin toiselta puolen on näkymä Espooseen päin. 

Sen kyllä huomaa, että Espoo on siroteltu keskelle metsiä.

On the other side of the Fortum tower (in my previous post)  has a view to Espoo.

You can see that Espoo is in the middle of the woods.

Espoo is Finland's second largest city, but it has many distinct neighborhoods.

Espoo has a population of ab. 272 000 (in Helsinki ab. 633 000).

Kehä I:n parantaminen ja Metron rakentaminen Keilaniemen kohdalla. 

Hirveen näköistä näin ylhäältä katsottuna. 

Rakennustöiden ollessa pahimmillaan siellä oli aika sompaileminen auton kanssa.

Sain ilon vierailla lauantaina Espoon Keilaniemessa olevan Fortumin Pääkonttorin katolla (entinen Nesteen torni eli Raaden hammas). Talossa on 20 kerrosta, ja oletettavasti olin 18. kerroksessa (tuolla molemmin puolin olevien "siipien" katolla). Ensin näköalat Helsinkiin päin.

I was visiting on Saturday in a roof of Fortum's headquarters in Espoo. The house has 20 floors, and, presumably, I was on the 18th floor (on both sides of the "wings"). First views are towards Helsinki.

Oli kaunis, mutta kylmä aurinkoinen päivä ja ylhäältä katsottuna ei tällä puolen näy paljon lunta.

It was a beautiful but cold sunny day and seen from above, there was not so much snow.

Himmeä heijastus / Frosted reflection

Päivällä oli pakkasta –1 °C, ja nyt illalla –7 °C. 

Tämä olisi sopiva talvi: lumi tekee luonnnon valoisaksi, eikä ole liian kylmä. 

Mutta hieman liian aikaisin tämä lumi tuli. Toivottavasti ei ole vielä pysyvää.

Temperature on day –1 °C, and now in night –7 °C. 

This would be suitable for the winter: the snow makes the natural luminous, and it's not too cold. 

But a little too early the snow came. I hope that is not yet permanent.

Weekend Reflection

Ensilumi / The first snow

 Ensilumi saapui. Niinkuin ennustettu olikin. Ensin vähän, mutta iltapäivällä jo pyrytti kunnolla.

Saas nähdä miten paljon on huomenna (minulla olisi talvirengasvaihto iltapäivällä).

Toivottavasti ei ole pysyvä lumi, tulisi muuten turhan piiiiiitkä talvi :)

I got the first snow.. As it was predicted. First, a little bit, but in the afternoon it was a big snowfall.

We'll see how much snow it is tomorrow (I need to chance the winter tires in my car in afternoon).

I hope this is no permanent snow, otherwise would be too loooong winter.

Harmaa päivä / Gray day

Kun on kolea sää, niin Helsingin keskustassa on todella kylmää ja tuulista. 

Tämäkin tuli taas todistetuksi, kun Leevin (3 v) kanssa menin sinne asioille.

When it's chilly weather, so in the Helsinki center there is really cold and windy.

It proven again right when I went there with Leevi (3 years old).

Leevi antoi ottaa vain yhden kuvan itsestään..
