Parina päivänä käveltiin jäällä. Oli upeat ilmat ja pakkasta vain n. -8 °C.
Mutta kun ei tuullut, niin ei ollut edes kylmä.
We were walking on the ice a couple of days. It was spectacular weather and frost approx. -8 °C.
But when there was no blowing, so it wasn't so cold.

Love your photos! I wonder what the 2 men are doing, they have chairs on skis? Are they skating?
VastaaPoistaThey have a kick sled, there is "a bench" and under it the skids. There you give a boost by kicking and stand on the skids. So they don't have ice skates. I'm sure you have seen this type somewhere.

VastaaPoistaBeautiful winter scenes. Ice fishing is fun, we usually had a small shack that we hauled out on the ice, drilled a hole which was inside the shack and then we were warm and just sat waiting for the fish to bite.
VastaaPoistaThe shack sounds great. Nobody don't use it here, even if it would be necessary, when or if here is a very hard frost. Many fishermen might just have the warm seat, and a lot of clothes on.

I'm not sure my road bike would make it across that ice. Besides, having once fallen through ice like this into a lake, I'm not eager to repeat the experience.
