Terijoen keskustassa nähtiin kaksi kuuluisaa kirkkoa. Valitettavasti emme ehtineet ortodoksisen kirkon sisälle. Mutta seuraavalla kerralla sitten …
In Terijoki centrum was seen two famous churches. Unfortunately, we could not get into the Eastern Orthodox Church. But maybe next time ...
Lutheran Church of Terijoki was completed in 1908. After the Second World War, during the Soviet era the church was used as a cinema until the 1990s. Then the church was handed back to their original use, and the renovation work started in 2000.
(PS. Terijoki is located in Karelia, Russia, read here)
Orthodox Church in Terijoki (1914) is the largest Orthodox Church in Nordic. After the War, in the Soviet Union, the church was used as potato cellar until 1977, when it was handed over to the Moscow Patriarchate. Repair work began immediately and the church was spiritual in 1988.
Matkan varrella nähtyä. En tiedä tarkoitusta tai nimiä. Mutta kauniita ovat.
Along the way seen. I do not know what they are, but they are beautiful.
