Lopen vanha kirkko / Old churche

 

Lopen vanha kirkko eli Santa Pirjon kirkko on ilmeisesti 1660-luvunlopulla rakennettu puukirkko. 

Kirkon käyttöä rajoittaa jossakin määrin sijainti jyrkän mäen päällä, sähköttömyys ja uruttomuus, mutta se on ensisijaisesti museokirkko.

Lope's old church, or Santa Pirjo's church, is apparently a wooden church built at the end of the 1660s.

The use of the church is somewhat limited by its location on a steep hill, 

lack of electricity and lack of an organ but it is primarily a museum church.

Kirkko on vaatimattoman näköinen pärekattoinen hirsikirkko. Kirkon ikää ei tiedetä varmasti, sillä asiakirjat, joissa ikä lienee kerrottu, tuhoutuivat tulipalossa. On arveltu, että se olisi voitu rakentaa jo 1400–1500-lukujen vaihteessa. Sen seinähirsien viimeiseksi kasvuajaksi on kuitenkin määritetty 1665 ja 1666.

The church is a modest-looking log church with a shingle roof. The age of the church is not known for sure, because the documents, where the age must have been stated, were destroyed in a fire. It has been speculated that it could have been built as early as the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. However, 1665 and 1666 have been determined as the last growth period of its wall logs.

Kirkkoa oli vaikea kuvata, kun oli niin vähän tilaa. Mutta kirkon mäeltä oli kivat näköalat. 

It was difficult to photograph the church when there was so little space. 

But there were nice views from the hill.

A miraculous plant (I don't know it in English) was found on top of a rock.
