Degerbyn kirkko (Porkkala)

Olen useasti ollut tämän kirkon lukitun oven takana, mutta nyt minulla kävi tuuri, kun pääsin käymään sisälle. Suntio oli juuri lukinnut kirkon oven ja oli poistumassa paikalta, kun älysin kysyä, eikö sisälle pääsisi. Totta kai, sanoi, ja avasi oven. Ja hän kertoili kirkon historiasta.

I have often been behind a locked door of this church, but now I was lucky when I got to go inside. The verger had just locked the church door when I was wondering if it would be possible go inside. Of course, he said, and opened the door. And he told about the Church's history.

Degerbyn kirkko valmistui 1932 ja se rakennetiin samaan kohtaan, missä vanha puukirkko 1700-luvulta oli ollut. Kirkko on malliltaan pitkäkirkko ja kellotapulin huippu on empiretyylinen.
Porkkalan jouduttua Neuvostoliiton haltuun, oli 10 päivää aikaa kuljettaa kaikki irtaimisto talteen.
Porkkalan vuokrakauden aikana kirkkoa käytettiin juhlasalina ja elokuvateatterina.

Degerby's church was completed in 1932 and it was built at the same site where the old wooden church from the 18th century had been. 
After the war, Porkkala was handed over to the Soviet Union (1944-1956), people had 10 days time to take all the objects to safety. During the Porkkala rental period, the church was used as a banquet hall and a movie theater by Soviet Union.

The altarpiece originates is from the old wooden church. 

Nämä kaksi tuolia on ollut kunniavieraiden käytössä. Näissä istui Kekkonen ja Fagerholm aikanaan, kun kirkko vihittiin uudelleen käyttöön 5.2.1956. Ja ne ovat edelleen tarkoitettu tärkeille vieraille.

Kirkon vihkimistilaisuudessa olevista ihmisistä on tutkimus, jossa selvitetään heidän henkilöllisyys. Aika monet heistä ovatkin jo tunnistettu.

These two chairs have been used by honor guests. Kekkonen (the president 1956-1981) and Fagerholm (prime minister) were sitting there when the church was inaugurated on February 5, 1956. And they are still intended for important guests.

They are trying to find people who were at the church celebration. Many of them are already identified.

Lähden ajelemaan poispäin ja katson taakse, sinne jäi tuo söpö pieni kirkko.

Jalkapallokausi alkoi / The football season started

Tänään alkoi Leevin (4 v.) ekat jalkapallotreenit. Joukko innokkaita 3-6 vuotiaita oli kokoontunut Masalan kentälle Kirkkonummelle. He saivat seuran paidan, juomapullon ja oman pallon. Arvatkaa vain, kuinka paljon Leevi oli odottanut tämän kurssin alkua !! Sitä on 10 kertaa aina sunnuntaisin. 

Today, Leevi's (4 yr.) first Football school started. A group of 3-6-year-olds boys was at the Masala field in Kirkkonummi. They got a shirt of the club, a beverage bottle and own ball. Just guess how much Leevi had been waiting for this course !! It's 10 times every Sunday.

Valmentajina oli neljä nuorta, tosi sympaattista ja asialle omistautunutta nuorta miestä.

There was four young, really sympathetic and dedicated young men as coach.

Kampissa tapahtuu / Music event

Matkatessani viikko sitten Kampin bussiterminaaliin, näin Narinkatorilla Alepan järjestämän konsertin. Äänekäs musiikki ja joku nuori laulaja. Enemmän kuin esiintyminen, minua kiinnosti ihmiset, jotka olivat paikalla.

When I went a week ago to Kamppi bus terminal, I saw this Alepa organizes a concert. A loud music and some young singer. More than an event, I was interested in people who were there.

Weekend Reflections

Camping

Karkoituspäätöksen saaneet turvapaikanhakijat Helsingin keskustassa, eli Aseman torilla. Ensin tämän piti olla mielenosoitus, mutta nyt he ovat majailleet teltassaan ("toimistossaan"?) jo yli 3 kuukautta. 

Enpä usko, että minä saisin pystyttää teltan tuonne.

The asylum seekers who received the expulsion decision lives in the center of Helsinki/ at Rail Station square. First this was supposed to be a demonstration, but now the camp has been in place for more than three months. Now this is their "office" and many have lived there all the time. 

I wonder if I would set up the tent there. I believe it would be banned.

Ei yhtään naurata / There is no laugh

Piti jatkaa Hesakuvilla, mutta laitanpa tässä välissä sääkatsauksen.

Uskomatonta, että rakeita jaksaa aina vaan sadella, ja tällä kertaa ehdin jopa napata kuvat. 

Sitä sataa vain alle 10 min kerralla ja pysyy maassa vain vähän aikaa jos ollenkaan, ja sitten kaikki on taas ohi ja aurinko ehkä taas paistaa. Mutta lievää shokkia tuo valkoinen mömmö aina aiheuttaa.. :). Lämpöä +5 °C.

I had continue with the photos of Helsinki, but here is a weather review.

Unbelievable what kind of spring we have. Between it is warm and sunny, between it's rainig grains, many times during the day. This time I was able to take photos. It only rains for 5-10 minutes at a time and stays on the ground for a while if at all, and then everything is over again. And after that the sun might shine again. But mild shock this white stuff brings every time .. :) (The temperature is now +5 °C)

 Onpa kiva idis nähdä johtaja (paitsi etteihän täällä mitään ruuhkaa ole :).

Nice idea to find the leader (except we have no congestion in Helsinki :).

Ihmisiä Kauppatorilla / People in the Marketplace

Olin perjantaina Korvapolilla (se on nyt Kirurgisessa sairaalassa Hyksin remontin takia). Korvat on ookoo, vaikka pää ei ole… jatkuva pauhuna, tinnitys ja kuulon huonous kuuluu tulehduksen seuraamukseen. Aika parantaa… tosin on kelju tunne, kun ei kuule kunnolla edes normaalia puhetta. No, Hesassa kun "jouduin" olemaan ja oli oli upea lämmin päivä, niin leikin turistia ja kiertelin siellä sun täällä. Kauppatorilla ei juuri suomea kuullut puhuttavan, siellä on turistiaika alkamassa. Tosin se ei ole vielä niin täynnä kojuja kuin kesällä (turistirihkamaa taisi olla yli puolet). Huvittelin ottaa erilaisista ihmisistä kuvia.

I was at the Ear Hospital on Friday, my ears are okay, what now hearing loss are part of the punishment of inflammation. It takes time to cure ... although it's not nice when I don't even hear normal talk.  Well, when I was in Helsinki, and there was a lovely warm day, so I played the be a tourist and wandered here and there. 

In the Marketplace I almost couldn't hear finnish at all, there was so many tourists. It is a very popular tourist destination but it's not as full as it is in the summer. I enjoyed myself to take photos of different people.

Finally, I had to change my winter banner a bit more spring .. :)
