Bergön luontopolku

Lähellä on Bergön luontopolku Suvisaaristossa.

Lähdettiin tutkimaan sitä, ja aloitimme polkuilun lintutornilta, joka on 16 m korkea.

Nearby there is the Bergö nature trail in the Suvisaaristo.

We went to explore it, and we started hiking from the bird watching tower, which is 16 m high.

Torni on todella tukeva, mutta se onkin uusi, valmistunut 2022.

The tower is really sturdy, but it is new, completed in 2022.

Näköalat merelle ja kaupunkiin olivat upeat.

The views to the sea and the city were fantastic.

Tottakai Matti aikoi kiivetä uudestaan ylös, mutta tällä kertaa ulkokautta.  

Of course, Matti was going to climb up again, but this time outside.

N. 3 km pituinen luontopolku oli miellyttävä kulkea, ei suuria nousuvaihteluita, 

ja kuljimme aika paljon kalliolla.

The nature trail is approx. 3 km long, which was pleasant to walk, no big changes in elevation, 

and we walked quite a lot on the rocks.

Fazerila

 

Kävimme Fazerin tehtaalla Fazerilassa. Tosin itse tehtaille emme päässet, vaan kiertelimme näyttelyalueella ja katsoimme erittäin hyvän videon. Ja lopuksi saimme syödä niin paljon suklaata kuin vain jaksoimme.

We visited the Fazer chocolate factory. Although we didn't get to the factories themselves, we walked around the exhibition area and watched a very good video. And finally, we were allowed to eat as much chocolate as we could manage.

At Easter, the empty eggshells are filled with Wiener chocolate. This bunny can be left alone, though.

Ja näitä saimme syödä niin paljon kuin napa veti.

And we could eat unlimited amounts of these.

Silmät olisi syönyt enemmänkin, mutta suu pani hanttiin.

When you had the opportunity to eat as much as you wanted, 

you quickly got the feeling that you can't eat more.

Ja tietenkin myymälässä piti ostaa jotain kotiin.

And of course you had to buy something for home in the store.

Klobbackan luontopolku / Nature path

 

Vein Virven ja Matin Kopparnäsiin, mutta nyt uuteen kohteeseen. Olimme saaneet kuulla edellisenä päivänä tästä Klobbackan kierroksesta, eikä kehut pettäneet. Oli aivan ihana luontopolku.

I took Virve and Mati to Kopparnäs, but now to a new destination. We had heard about this Klobbacka nature path the day before, and the praise did not disappoint. It was a wonderful nature trail.

Parkkipaikalta lähdettyä kävelimme ensin ”maalaistietä” pitkin reitin alkuun. Oli selkeät oranssiset reittimerkinnät puiden rungoissa, mutta taisimme sittenkin eksyä kallioilla, jolloin edessä oli haastavampia nousuja ja laskuja. Mutta ei se haitannut. Reitillä oli mukava bongata niitä merkkejä. 

After leaving the parking lot, we first walked along the "country road" to the beginning of the route. There were clear orange route markings on the trunks of the trees, but I think we got lost on the cliffs, so there were more challenging ascents and descents ahead. But it didn't matter. It was fun looking for signs in the trees.

What a wonderful views. We ate packed lunch here.

Koska tämä reitti kiertää niemen, niin meri oli lähes koko ajan näkyvillä. 

Reitti koostui niin kallioista kuin myös alhaalla rannalla kävelystä.

Since this route went around the headland, the sea was visible almost all the time. 

The route consisted of walking along the cliffs and down the beach.

 Loppumatka oli osaksi metsäpolkua. Meidän kävelemän kierroksen pituudeksi tuli n. 3,5-4 km.

The rest of the trip was part of a forest path. The length of the tour we did was approx. 3-3.5 km.

Olympiastadion

Virve ja Matti lensivät tänään aamulla kotiin Sveitsiin. 

On outo tunne olla taas yksin kotona eikä ole mihinkään menoa. 

Virve and Matti flew home to Switzerland this morning. 

It's a strange feeling to be home alone again and have nowhere to go.

Eilen vikana päivänä käytiin Olympiastadionin tornissa. Se on 72 metriä korkea. Olipa kokemus nousta torniin, sillä viimeksi - ja sen ainoan kerran - olen ollut siellä lapsena. Sitä se on, kun kohde on liian lähellä ja tietää, että sinne voi mennä koska vaan, niin lopulta jääkin kokonaan menemättä. 

Yesterday, on the last day of the holiday, we visited the Olympia Stadium tower. It is 72 meters high. It was an experience to climb the tower, because I have been there only once as a child. It's when the destination is too close and you know that you can go there at any time, so you don't go there at all.

Stadikan tornista oli sateesta huolimatta huikeat näkymät ympäri Helsinkiä. Meillä oli huono tuuri kun tänä päivänä alkoi ne sateet ja satoi koko ajan kun oltiin tornissa, eikä ylhäällä ollut katosta. Itse asiassa tämä oli ainoa kerta, kun kastuttiin kun oltiin jossain. Sillä muuten oli ollut poutaa ja puolipilvistä, eli unelmasää kaikelle liikkumiselle. Ei nyt sitten menty minnekään muualle kaupunkiin, kun satoi. Ja sadetta onkin sitten piisannut.

Despite the rain, the stadium tower had amazing views over Helsinki. We were unlucky as it rained the whole time we were in the tower and there was no roof at the top. In fact, it was the only time we got wet when we were somewhere. The other days were dream weather for all our trips. But it's been raining for a couple of days now.

Helsingin Olympiastadion on yleisurheilu- ja jalkapallostadion, joka valmistui vuonna 1938 vuoden 1940 olympialaisia varten. Pelit peruttiin toisen maailmansodan vuoksi ja Helsingin Olympiastadionille annettiin mahdollisuus isännöidä vuoden 1952 olympialaiset.

The Helsinki Olympic Stadium is an athletics and football stadium that was completed in 1938 for the 1940 Olympics. The games were canceled due to World War II and the Helsinki Olympic Stadium was given the chance to host the 1952 Olympics.
