Lentonäytöksessä nähtyä. Otin kuvan naisesta, ja kotona huomasinkin myös pienen pojan, joilla ei ollut kuulosuojaimia. Hävittäjäkoneilla oli todella kova ääni.

Increase: On Friday there was the Air Show in Helsinki (see my previous post). The fighter planes had very loud noise and the boy did not have ear-protectors.

Kaivopuiston lentonäytös / Airshow

Olipas kiva päivä eilen Kaivopuiston Lentonäytöksessä (lue täältä). Sää suosi ja ihmisiä oli tuhatmäärin (arvio 50 000–100 000 kpl). Parasta näytöstä oli englantilaisten taitolentäjien, Red Arrows, esittämät taidokkaat kuviot (katso täältä) ja kovaäänisemmät oli hävittäjäkoneet.

We had a nice day yesterday at Kaivopuisto Air show (read here). The weather was favorable and there were thousands of people (estimated 50,000-100,000). The best screen was from English Red Arrows (see here), and the louder ones were the fighter planes.

Useimmilla lapsilla oli kuulosuojat korvissa.

Most children had ear protections.

Kruunuvuoressa

Olimme keskiviikkona myös etsimässä Kruunuvuoren hyättyjä, yli satavuotiaita huviloita. Ei löydetty, ne on jo joko purettu tai poltettu. Katso täältä ja täältä, mitä menetimme, kun olimme 1-2 vuotta liian myöhään liikkeellä. Mutta saimmepa syyn kävellä Laajasalossa, Itä-Helsingissä, jonne tuskin muuten on koskaan mitään asiaa.

We were on Wednesday also searched more than 100 years old, abandoned villas. Not found, they have already been dismantled or burned. See here and here, what we missed when we were 1-2 years too late on the move. But we found a reason to hike in Laajasalo, eastern Helsinki, where we usually have no reason to go.

Weekend Reflection

Haagan Rhodopuisto 2017

Eilen oli tähänastisen kesän kuumin päivä (+ 23 C) ja me olimme Haagan Rhodopuistossa. 

Tosin vähän liian aikaisin, sillä kukat oli vasta nupuillaan. Onneksi osa atsaleista sentäs jo kukki.

Yesterday was the hottest day of this summer (+23 C) and we were in Rhodo Park in Helsinki. Although we were a little too early, because most of the flowers were in the bud. Fortunately some of the azaleas was in flowers.

Viimeksi olin täällä 4 vuotta sitten. Silloin kukat oli melkein kukkineet. Katso täältä.

Last time I was here 4 years ago. Then the flowers had almost blossomed. Look here.

Eilen oli helle, ja tänään on koko päivän satanut vettä. Eli vuoropäivin on aurinkoa ja vettä.
Yesterday was hot, and today it has dropped water all day. That is, on alternate days is sun and rain.

Eilen satoi, ja tänään on vuorostaan hellepäivä. Niin se sää vaihtelee.

Petolintu / The bird of prey

Hetken luulin jo ties minkä petolinnun lentelevän veneiden yläpuolella, mutta lähempi tarkastelu osoittikin sen olevan vain linnun varjokuva, joka oli narulla kiinni yhdessä veneessä. Tällainen lintu olisikin ollut suuri ihme täällä.

I saw a bird of prey flying above boats but a closer look showed it was just a bird's shadow picture that was clinging in one boat. Such a bird would have been a great miracle here.

Se on kesä nyt / It's summer now

Upea päivä, lämpötila 18 ”C ja aurinkoa koko päivän.

Magnificent day, temperature 18 °C, and the sun throughout the day.

Wohls Gård

Olimme vapaaehtoisjärjestö "Kaveri-Kammarin" vanhusten kanssa retkellä Kirkkonummella Wohlsin kartanolla (Wohls Gård). Sää ei vain ollut suosiollinen. Kun olimme syömässä, aurinko paistoi, mutta ulos kun päästiin, niin alkoi sadella. Ja oli kylmää, tosi kiva ilma kesäkuun ekaksi päiväksi.

We made a trip with the elderly of volunteer organization "Kaveri-Kammari" to Kirkkonummi, Wohls Manor (Wohls Gård). The weather was not favorable. When we were eating inside, the sun was shining, but when we went outside, it started to rain. And it was a cool, really "nice" weather for the first of June.

Wohls Gård on 1600 -luvulta ja sen päärakennus on 200 vuotta vanha. Se on nykyisin Kartanoravintola vuodesta 2012, jossa oli hyvä ruoka.  Lue: Wohls Gård

Wohls Gård dates back to the 1600s and its main building is 200 years old. It is from 2012 onwards the Manor Restaurant with good food. 

Ehdittiin tehdä pieni ulkoilukatsaus, ennenkuin sade yllätti.

We had a small outdoor round before the rain was surprising.

Yhden syreenin kukat oli jo nupuillaan.

Poislähtiessä satoi jo lähes kaatamalla.
When we left this place, it was rain heavily.

Matkaa tänne on kotoani jotain 20 km, joten varmasti tulen uudelleen aurinkoisena kesäpäivänä.

The distance from my home is ab. 20 km, so I'll definitely come back on a sunny summer day.
