Riihimäki ja asunnon myyntiajatuksia / Riihimäki and thoughts about selling my home

Olen muutaman kerran ajellut Riksuun, ihan vain katsomaan, voisinko sittenkin asua siellä. Onhan se pieni kaupunki, mutta viehättävä, ja kaikki palvelut on kävelymatkan päässä. Ja Helsinkiin on puolen tunnin välein kulkeva juna (55 min/65 km - ja jos vielä haluan jatkaa Hesasta Kivenlahteen, niin Metro 30 min/20 km). Tai autolla 1 tunti/85 km Kivenlahteen.

Olen nimittäin myymässä kotiani. Linjasaneerauksen takia otettu taloyhtiön laina oli muutama miljoona euroa, ja tuli asuntoni osalta niin kalliiksi, etten pärjää. Nyt on huono aika myydä, koska on lama ja asuntoja on myynnissä paljon, mutta koitan kuitenkin. 

Menen sitten vuokralle. Se on uutta minulle, sillä en ole koskaan asunnut vuokra-asunnossa. Riihimäellä on edullisemmat vuokrat kuin täällä Espoossa. 

Tätä mietin samalla kun puran pikkuhiljaa kotiani. Ts. tsekkailen irtotavaroita, laitan osan myyntiin ja osan vien kierrätykseen ja osa on pakko säästää. Vielä on esim. evakkopakkauksia avaamatta, eli ovat valmiina muuttoon. Koti tuntuu tosi siistiltä, kun ei ole ”kaiken maailman” koriste-esineitä ym. joka puolella.

Voi olla, ettei mene kaupaksi. Yritin jo alkuvuodesta, mutta silloin ei ollut edes katsojia. Nyt on, mutta ne katsojat (ollut 4 kpl / 2 viikkoa) haluaa tinkiä, mihin en itse ole vielä valmis.

Isoon nälkään. / To the big hunger.

I’ve driven to Rihimäki a few times, just to see if I could live there. It’s a small town, but charming, and all services are within walking distance. And there is a train to Helsinki every half hour (55 min/65 km - and if I still want to continue from Helsinki ​​to Kivenlahti, then I’ll go by Metro 30 min/20 km). Or by car 1 hour/85 km to Kivenlahti.

I am selling my home. The loan taken out by the housing company for the line renovation was a few million euros, and my share is too much for me. Now is a bad time to sell because there’s a recession and a lot of apartments are for sale, but I’m still going to try.

Then I’m going to rent a apartment. It’s new to me because I’ve never lived in a rented apartment. Riihimäki has cheaper rents than here in Espoo.

This is what I’m thinking about as I slowly dismantle my home. That is, I’m checking out the loose items, putting some up for sale and some for recycling, and some I have to save. A home feels really neat when ”all the world’s” decorative objects etc. aren’t everywhere.

Maybe no one will buy it. I tried at the beginning of the year, but there weren't any viewers then. Now there are, but those viewers (there have been 4 in 2 weeks) want to compromise, which I'm not ready for yet.

Syksy saapuu / Autumn is almost here

Syksy on tullut. Äkkiä ne helteet väistyi ja nyt on pakko pukea enempi ylle (16–18 °C). 

Mutta nämä on oikein kivoja ulkoiluilmoja. Ja kestää vielä muutaman kuukauden ennen talven tuloa.

Autumn has arrived. Suddenly the heat has subsided and now I've to wear more clothes (16–18 °C).

But this is really nice weather for outdoor activities. And it will be a few more months before winter comes.

Varma merkki syksystä on punaiset pihlajanmarjat.

A sure sign of autumn are red rowan berries.

Ruusuista on jäljellä punaiset marjat.

The roses have red berries left.

Tyrnimarjat on jo ylikypsiä.

The sea buckthorn berries are definitely overripe.

Westendin taloja / Houses in Westend

 

Westendillä on maine varakkaiden ihmisten asuinalueena Espoossa. Rannan lähellä on tosi isoja 1-perheen omakotitaloja. Mutta tontit tuntuvat olevan aika pieniä talojen kokoon nähden. Asuu täällä ihan tavallisiakin ihmisiä kerrostaloissa, mutta alueen maine nostaa asuntojen hinnat korkeiksi.

Westend has a reputation as a wealthy area in Espoo. There are really big single-family houses near the beach. But the plots seem quite small compared to the size of the houses. There are also quite ordinary people living here in apartment buildings, but the area's reputation drives up the prices of apartments.

Satuin vilkaisemaan taakse, ja näin tämän ihanan rättärin ajavan ohi. Sain äkkiä otettua kuvan.

I happened to glance behind, and I saw this lovely 2CV driving by. I was able to take a picture quickly.

Westendin rantaa / Beach in Westend

 

Kävinpähän iltasella katsomassa Westendin rantaa Espoossa (vajaa 10 km kotoa).

I went to see Westend Beach (In Espoo) in the evening (less than 10 km from home).

Tänne voisi periaatteessa kävellä rantatietä pitkin, mutta silloin matka olisi paljon pitempi kuin 10 km, kun ranta kiemurtelee ja aina ei ihan rannalle pääse. Ja paluu olisi "kuolemaksi" :). 

Eli mielutien menen autolla ja kävelen sitten paikan päällä.

In principle, you could walk here along the coastal road, but then the journey would be much longer than 10 km, as the coast winds and you can't always get to the beach. And the return would be "death" :)

So I prefer to go by car and then walk on site.

Kalastajia / Fishermen

 

Kalastaminen kuuluu oleellisesti rantamaisemiin. Ja niinpä silloin tällöin kuvaan heitä.

Fishing is an essential part of coastal landscapes. And so I photograph them from time to time.

He saavat haukea, ahventa, siikaa ym.

They fish for pike, perch, whitefish, etc.

Tuulinen päivä / Windy day

 

Tänään oli tosi kova tuuli. Meinasi viedä minut mukanaan eikä tukkakaan ollut ojennuksessa.

Tässä lahdessa ei usein näe tällaisia aaltoja. Mutta oli tuo tuuli ihana, eikä edes kylmä, oli 20 °C. Vei mennessään menneiden viikkojen "lämpöhalvauksen oireet".

It was really windy today. It almost blew me away, and my hair almost came off my head.

You don't often see waves like this in this bay. But the wind was lovely, and it wasn't even cold,

 the temperature was 20°C. It took away the "heatstroke symptoms" of the last few weeks.

Sataa / It's raining

 

Mikä ihana näky - taivaalle kertyi pilviä, ja vieläpä tummia. 

Niitä alkoi kerääntyä paljon ja samalla ihana tuuli yltyi. Tätä on odotettu kohta kuukausi.

What a wonderful sight – clouds were gathering in the sky, and dark ones at that.

And at the same time a wonderful wind was blowing.

This has been expected for almost a month.

Ensimmäiset pisarat. Ehdin just kotiin ennen kaatosadetta.

The first drops. I just managed to get home before the downpour.

Istuin parvekkeella, katselin ja kuuntelin sadetta ja ukkosta. Ihanaa.

Ei sitä kauan kestänyt, ehkä tunnin ja sitten kaikki oli ohi.

I sat on the balcony, watching and listening to the rain and thunder. Wonderful.

It didn't last long, maybe an hour and then it was all over.

Kahvittelua / In the cafe

Helle on taittumassa - onneksi. Kolmen viikon putki 29 °C lämpöä vei mehut. 

Kävelyretki oli hyvä suunnata sinne, missä oli kahvila.

The heat has turned down - luckily. Three weeks of 29 degree heat took its toll.

It was a good idea to head for the walking tour to where the café was.
