Ruskan aika / Colors of fall

On taas se aika vuodesta, jolloin meitä hemmotellaan väreillä _ ennen sitä (musta-)valkoista maisemaa.

It's again the time of year when we're spoiled for color before the (black-and-)white landscape.

Saimme pienen maistiaisen talvesta, satoi hetken rakeita. Onneksi ne suli heti pois. 

Mutta on harvinaisen kylmää näin lokakuuksi. Ilman pipoa ei tarkene ja piti etsiä villasukatkin.

We got a little taste of the winter, it was raining hails for a while. Fortunately, they instantly melted away. But i'is cold compared to the normal October. I'is cold without a hat and I had to look for wool socks as well. The temperature is about 3–6 °C at the day.

Huh hellettä / Hot weather

Minun Virve-tytär perheineen oli runsaan viikon lomalla Sveitsistä - ja "sopivasti" koko loma osui kesän kuumimpaan viikkoon (varjossa jotain 30-32 °C). Oli hieman tukalan kuumaa kierrellä eri paikoissa ja vesi olikin paras olomuoto.

My daughter Virve and her family from Switzerland were on vacation here for over a week  - and "fittingly" the summer's hottest week hit a suitably holiday (30-32 °C in the shadow). It was sometimes frustratingly too hot to go around and the water was the best form of life.

Vävy halusi käydä Helsingissä - totta kai, mutta kuka ihan oikeesti haluaa mennä helteiseen Helsinkiin - turistit vai hölmöt. En tiedä kumpia me olimme, mutta lämmin siellä oli tallustella.

My son-in-law wanted to visit in Helsinki - of course, but who bother to go to hot city - tourists or fools. I don't know who we were, but there really was very hot for walking.

Aina kun näen 2CV:n, tulee nostalginen olo. Meillä oli vuosina 1971–1983 yhteensä neljä sitikkaa. 

Ja vasta kun muutimme Saksaan puoleksitoista vuodeksi, osti exäni "oikean" auton, verovapaan Opel Asconan.

Every time I see a 2CV, it feels nostalgic. Between 1971 and 1983 we had a total of four ones, until we moved to Germany for a year and a half my ex-man bought a "real" car, the duty-free Opel Ascona.

Koko katras lapsenlapsia. Vävyni otti panoraamalla kuvan niin että vuorotellen jokainen lapsi siirtyi rivin viimeiseksi. Mutta ei olisi saanut sitten yhtään liikkua asennon otettua. Tuossa on hieman rikkinäisiä hahmoja jos tarkkaan katsoo. 

A whole bunch of grandchildren. My son-in-law took a panoramic photo, each child moves alternately to the end of the queue. But then you shouldn't have moved at all. There are some broken children, if you look closely.

Mihin oikein hävisi superhelteinen kesäkuu… Ja heinäkuukin on lopuillaan, ja viileän jakson jälkeen se jatkuu nyt melkein yhtä kuumana kuin alkukesä. Jotenkin kuvaaminenkin on jäänyt, usein ei ole edes kameraa mukana kun liikun ulkona. Ja samalla melkein on hävinnyt myös tämä blogi-innostus. Ehkä myöhemmin taas innostun.

Where the super hot June was lost ... And July is almost over, and after the cool season it is now almost as hot as the early summer. Somehow photographing is also missed, I go out often without a camera. And at the same time, I almost lost my enthusiasm to the blog. Maybe later I'll be excited again.
